If you wanna play campaign, it gets tricky since even if you had a valid product key the key checking servers are down and it would always return an error.

After it's downloaded install it, skip activation, and install cartographer. The halo 2 vista forum thread that Cartographer will point you does have a download link, but you have to register to see it, but with a quick search the same link is on another thread. You should really try to buy it but since you're going to have to crack it anyway and bungie isn't getting paid (it's MS and they don't enforce it) you can get away with pirating it.
